When Was the Last Time You Had to Rely on Pain Pills to Get Through the Day?

Before the last game of the season you were already kind of a has been. Now, however, it seems like it was just a blink of an eye, but the last 17 years or so of my life are over. Although this last season was not how you wanted it to end, the memories and people were unforgettable. The sport of softball has given you so much and you are so thankful for it. You are eternally grateful for all the people who helped you along the way, especially your parents. Without them, you would never have ended up competing at college. The late nights at pitching lessons and early morning workouts and games were all worth it. Being in this sport for so many years did not just help you excel in the sport, but also in life.
Your parents, team mates, and coaches help you made it through these last four seasons, but you are now looking for a pain clinic to help you with the effects of having played a rough sport most of your life.

Finding the Right Pain Clinic Can Help Many People Deal with a Number of Situations
One of the problems that former athletes find themselves facing is how to deal with former injuries and lingering pain. By working with the right pain clinic, however, these athletes can get the help that they need without having to rely on pain medications. Pain clinics are a great alternative because there are many times when athletes and non athletes alike can have lasting problems if they start on some pain medications. In fact, the latest research indicates that 80% of new heroin users started out misusing prescription painkillers.

Athletes, of course, are not the only people who have problems dealing with addiction. For instance, doctors get tons of education about what to do in case of illnesses and disasters, but they may not get the training in what to do if they suffered from depression. Instead, these doctors may self medicate with the medications that they have access to. They may worry that if they seek treatment for depression then they will have to be disclosed when it comes time to renew a medical license. Instead, they can find themselves dealing with medications that are difficult to break free from.

In fact, medical health questions keep doctors from admitting that they need help, but the current questions do not actually go far enough to get help for the people who should not be practicing doctors. With mental health, insurance companies, and licensing boards do not go into detail about mental health. Although state license boards have a difficult time citing any time when a mental health disclosure kept someone from getting a license, at the same time no one is sure what purpose these current questions are serving.
The issues surrounding the detox processes that can be caused by relying too much on drugs for pain or depression without counseling can be significant. It does have a lot of meaning when the group of state boards issue a ruling on the medical health history of applicants. As long as states are asking about the history of doctor, there will always be many medical professionals who do not admit that they need help. Doctors who have taken their lives would likely be horrified that their situation was a story, but at the same time thrilled that these reports are helping someone in the future.

Likewise, as long as there are athletes who are dealing with lasting injuries, there will be those who want to make sure that they are relying on pain clinics instead of pain pills.
